How We Met
The fun story of how they met takes us through twists and turns of family.

Josh's sister, Emily, and Kate's brother, Atlee, started dating.
Josh & Kate would see eachother at family functions but never really spoke.

A couple of years goes by, and one day Kate and her mom went to visit
Atlee & Emily at their house. Kate noticed that her brother's friend was hot, but figured he was too young for her - until her mom started talking to this "friend" and Kate realized it was Emily's brother.

She turned 50 shades of red, and couldn't form a complete sentence,
and ducked into the kitchen to hide.
Later that night, Kate got a friend request on Facebook from Josh, and the two started talking. Not long after, they started dating and have been inseparable since. :)

Josh and Kate got engaged on June 6, 2012.

The Proposal

Josh was standing on the porch and telling Kate about how he kept having dreams  that he proposed and she said no, so Kate told him that he should ask for real so that she could say yes.

Josh said, "So, will you marry me?" Kate said "Yeah, like that."
Josh kind of laughed and said, "No, I'm serious. Will you marry me?"

At that point, Kate was a little surprised, and said
"Are you joking? Ummm... yes!"
(And yes, Kate really didn't believe him at first!)
AND then .... as if that weren't enough ...

Josh decided that he really wanted to get down on his knee and ask her. So, on the evening of June 26, he waited for the right moment. He knew that Kate always took her ring off when she cooked or did dishes, and when she did, he quietly took it from where she placed it.

Kate thought he was playing with the girls, messing around with them, because he was acting silly and hiding a lot. She was ignoring him, mostly, because she was cooking. She heard her phone go off, and Josh had sent her a text message of him speaking.

She had a hard time getting it to load on her phone, but when it played it was a really quiet, but sweet message of how much he loved her. She went to find him, and when she came around the corner, she found him down on one knee. His eyes were teared up (but don't tell him I said so).

Kate instantly started crying as Josh said "I love you, you're my whole world. Will you marry me?" and put her ring on her hand. Through tears and at least a hundred kisses, Kate said yes again.
